Granada es una ciudad acrópolis. Las laderas de sus montañas descienden y forman la fertil llanura de su vega. Sobre este tapiz de campos emerge Montevive, el Monte de la Puerta en tiempos árabes, y parte del paisaje actual de Alhendín.
Alhendín está a diez kilómetros de Granada, en los límites de la vega. Y como muchos otros pueblos, ha aumentado su población a golpe de grandes operaciones inmobiliarias donde la conexión entre los viejos habitantes y los nuevos ciudadanos es nula. Continue reading Pedro Puertas

The site is located where Boavista avenue breaks into discontinuous sections.
The solution consists in a level platform which incorporates two nearby volumes which re cast in different scales.

On a marvelous place like a piece of earthly paradise, at Cádiz, we have built an infinite plane facing the infinite sea, the most radical house we have ever made. At the very edge of the waters of the Atlantic Ocean, where the sea unites the new and the old continent, emerges a stone platform. For the art exhibition ‘Schone Schijn’ a temporary museum in a meadow is designed. he flowing form was materialized in poplar ply- wood. The thickness of the floor, the walls and the roof could be minimized, resulting in a wafer-thin line between volume, exterior and interior (RdjK, Dutch Design Yearbook, 2011).
