Studio Goss was engaged to design the ‘Cape Schanck House’ which began as a series of blank, enigmatic forms, animated by the play of light. The project exudes a timeless allure, skilfully balancing bold architectural statements with subtle touches that invoke serenity, sanctuary, and a reflective connection with nature.

In parallel to the architectural design, Articolo and Studio Goss worked in tandem to design the bespoke 12:40 wall sconce specifically for the home. The 12:40 wall sconce complements the subtle curves of Cape Schanck House. The collection’s distinctive feature lies in its ability to harmoniously match the finish of the 12:40 shade with the applied architectural finishes of your walls. This ingenious feature transforms the 12:40 creating a seamless sculptural element that blurs the line between art and ambient lighting.

With a range of bespoke applied finishes available and providing further scope to apply additional customised finishes on site. The 12:40 is also available in travertine, alabaster, cast glass, and a range of exquisite Italian timber veneers.

Beyond its architectural aesthetics, the 12:40 wall sconce is equipped with cutting-edge tuneable white technology. This innovative feature seamlessly adjusts the colour temperature of white light to mimic the natural shifts in sunlight throughout the day, offering a host of wellness benefits, including the ability to influence and restore your body’s circadian rhythm.

Experience the future of lighting with 12:40 – where art, architecture, and technology converge to illuminate your world in a whole new light.
